With Ford having just released the new Focus, it’ll take some time for the hot RS to be revealed. Thankfully, the Blue Oval is sending away the current hot hatch with the Heritage Edition.
Launched earlier this year as the swan song to the performance-oriented Mk3, it comes with a few updates over the regular Focus RS.
The most visible is the Tief Deep Orange exterior that is contrasted by the black side mirror caps and rear spoiler, in addition to dark, forged alloy wheels and grey brake calipers.
The cabin has been adorned with part-leather Recaro seats and a sunroof. A heated steering wheel, cruise control with speed limited, power folding mirrors, rear parking sensors and rear privacy windows are also standard equipment on the £39,895 ($53,011) hot hatchback.
Ford chose to limit the Focus RS Heritage Edition to 50 units, and fit a Quaife limited-slip differential that improves traction. All cars come with the Mountune upgrade, too, that increases the turbocharged 2.3-liter engines’s output by 25PS (25hp / 19kW) and 40Nm (30lb-ft) of torque, for a total of 375PS (370hp / 276kW) and 510Nm (376lb-ft).
