Reported from Otomotif Metrotvnews, (2016/11/14), that Hyundai increasingly serious play in the hybrid car segment. As quoted from Autoguide, Korean car manufacturer will launch Ioniq in the United States by the end of 2016. The car is predicted as a serious challenger to the Toyota Prius.
Ioniq All Electric vihicle (EV) are expected to join later this year and Ioniq hybrid will be available in US dealerships early next year range. While Ioniq Plug-in hybrid will be the last slide in the third quarter 2017.
As an official statement Hyundai, Ioniq (EV) is estimated to reach a distance as far as 124 miles (about 200 kilometers). This estimate is suppose to be revealed in L.A Auto Show 2016 next week.
Hyundai hopes the standard hybrid variant may be the best among the three variants Ioniq available. This is because the high-efficiency technology Blue model is claimed to produce a fuel efficiency of up to 58 mpg combined.
Efficiency is considered better than the Toyota Prius Eco reaching 56 mpg. Included in the model Ioniq Plug-in Hybrid Electric Vehicles (PHEV), which offers a 5 seater. While the Prius Prime's only offers four seater.
