The 2017 Ford F-150 will be recalled back after it was reported that there might be an issue with the weld between the driver seat back and the recliner mechanism.
According to the reports, the manufacturing error might fail to restrain the occupants of the seat in a crash. Thankfully, no accidents or injuries related to the issue has been reported.
A total of 2500 units of the Ford F-150, Ford Explorer, and Super Duty will be recalled over the same issue. This is also not the only recall that Ford has issued this week. A second recall has been issued and this will also affect the Ford F-150 along with the F-250 and F-550.
It was stated that these vehicles were fitted with aftermarket chrome exterior door handle covers that might not comply with the federal motor vehicle safety standards and may cause the handle to unlatch during a side impact.
